sucker for a stamp...

as some of you realise i was trained and worked as, for a short while,
a graphic designer in covent garden london.

(happy edgy memories)

a legacy of this is a love of beautiful typography and design
and being a sucker for a rubber stamp.
a while back i found a stunning stash in a brocante
and today i am loading a few onto etsy...

Hello - I am visiting you via "Silverpebble". Your vintage products are great!

I use rubber stamps a lot and a number years ago I picked up stamps from the Portabello Road Market in London. They look similar to your lovely stamps but are metal, not rubber, on wooden blocks. I've never worked out how to use them properly as no cushion - metal straight on to wood. Have tried stamping by hand placing cushion underneath card, with max pressure - but still poor image. Any hints as how to get the best result from these? Thanks.
