patience...

rummaging around my plans chest i stumbled upon these 2 small watercolours which
i painted way back in 1998 when i worked solely as an illustrator/artist.
it was in this year that my husband left me for a friend of mine.
(actually the most generous thing any friend has ever done for me
before or since. seriously). our son, storm, was 2 at the time and i remember
clearly sitting on the stairs together, crying, as his dad shut the
door behind himself, and on us. i needed to earn more money and quick,
and so turned my fleamarket hobby into a business which slowly but
surely encroached into creative time until it blocked me from
continuing my art practice. today change is in the air. soon i will only
sell vintage lovelies online and get back to what i should have been doing
since dot. drawing, painting, collaging, sculpting, assembling, monoprinting;
playing with an intelligent eye...

what an exciting day to sense change in the air. and what a remarkable story.
And your follow up comment just made me laugh out loud.

You are more amazing to me too! To paraphrase what someone said when my friend faced a similar situation - you didn't deserve what happened and he didn't deserve you! I like these too, good to see you may be getting back to your talents :)
