Call for 'Caustic Comment' Giveaway...

Like everyone I crave acceptance, shine brighter when praised, enjoy a hearty backslap and a gentle, generous, kind word. Thank- you everyone for your kind encouragement since my debut 6 months back, and for your cheery delights over this past weekend; 12 comments a record! hoorah. Time for an appreciative giveaway...

Still relatively new to the blog community and my cynical side cannot help but note how jolly 'jolly' and generous everyone always is. When I was at art school, many years ago, at the end of a project we would be obliged to hang our work on the wall for a 'Crit'. Many a time I hung my project proudly only to have to take it down deflated; constructive criticism can hurt but is so, constructive.

When I go a virtual strolling I stumble upon many talented people who unselfishly give on their blogs and I leave happy upbeat comments when I feel thus compelled. However, there are times when I wish to leave Constructive Criticism or in my more meddlesome moments  a 'Caustic Comment', (heaven forbid).

So, my Giveaway centres on having a little tongue in cheek fun! and giving voice to our inner critic. Leave a 'Caustic Comment' or 'Constructive Criticism' and  I will select the most challenging next Monday as recipient of my 'Caustic Comment' Giveaway, the contents of which I will post tomorrow.  If this appeals to your darker side please spread the word. And please remember I'm a big girl and invited this possibe mayhem. Happy haranguing...

Haha nice try. I can't do caustic, I'm English... as in the quaint, old fashioned, way too polite to even breath (at times) English!

I may say though (and this is as far as I'll go) I'm all out of positive superlatives ;-) but then this would be an outrageous lie.

Oh dear. Can I really be the first to leave a bit of a crit.?

I do have fond memories of crit's in design school, and I agree, they were helpful... so let me hunt around your blog some more and see if I can get tart for a moment...

boy this is tough...

well I think that hearing more about where you discover your unique and wonderful finds in your shop would be intriguing! Seeing as over here in brand new California, our "antique shops" are never quite as interesting as I am sure yours are...

and I was very hesitant to put this, as it really is not a big deal... but being a photographer I thought I should offer up that maybe, perhaps, in your shop you could use a large white roll of paper to create an infinity background for your objects, as the fabric is a teeny bit distracting from your lovely objects... take it or leave it but I feel like a meanie now...
