when i was little
my neighbour was merrill
we used to chat
over the garden fence
and play together often
i was so jealous of merrill
she had fairytale
sparkly plastic play mules
they were super fantastic
i longed for a pair
year on year
i sent wishes into the air
and yet
i never got my mules
this chad valley moneybox
from the same era
brings back these memories
was there anything
you coveted
as a child
and never got?
