burn baby burn...

so back to reality
the house is sold hoorah
time to pack up aaaargh

i find it endlessly amazing
the amount of shite one accumulates
and realise there is discipline and then discipline
when shifting through stuff

time to get radical

i have trailed loads of things around for the last 20 years
and have no desire to continue to do so

but please help me

tell me how can i throw away unwanted things
with sentimental or cash value
x

For items I love but cannot keep I often gift them to someone who will enjoy them. Then donate away those things that I simply do not want to bother with anymore. After that, there is always Etsy, and the local free ads like Kijiji. also, I have had great success (after all who doesn't like "free"?!) with the local Freecycle network (A Yahoo group). It's a process and doesn't happen overnight. An older friend said she did a major down-size by spending on hour a day purging. It was all she could emotionally handle but was very effective too. Happy purging.
