other people's collections
are endlessly fascinating
don't you think?
i found this exercise book in a french brocante
many years back and i will not part with it
it appeals to the graphic designer deep within
and i am also fascintaed to imagine the person
who collected and curated
this mini-museum of matchbox memorabilia
collections have you one or two obsessions?

Many many...how are you doing empty nest?
I wouldn't part with that collection either. Amazing. I can just picture the person gluing in all the match book covers. Love it!
pebbles....I have jars and jars of them
those are really cool!! i'm not sure if i have any specific collections, but I like to collect jewelry? :)
I'm so envious of French flea markets, they seem much more stylish and full of history than American venues.
Do you have thrift stores in France too? Or is it more flea markets/antique shops?
So lovely and colorful. Reminds me of childhood. Very sweet. xox Alexandra
Mainly books, hundreds and hundreds...but lots of mini collections, cup and saucers, miniature etchings, miniature books...miniature bowls.
What a find, you must keep it.
I went through a jug collecting stage, had them all on display in the kitchen. I've taken them down now but just can't part with them.
I have a small collection of antique, handwritten poems - and ten years of ledgers from a general store in New Hampshire - fascinating. . . I saw an art show of a collection of shopping lists found by the artist - also very interesting - what is it about this sort of thing?!
