Ain't love great...

OK girl post today!... Hope shines eternal; after 18 years in 2 serious, and seriously failed, relationships never say never! Married at 26 divorced at 32,
( he went off with my friend), then dumped 3 days after my 40th birthday for being too old. I did survive! As the cliché says 'Plenty of Fish' and all that... Thankyou God for internet dating for singles living in one horse towns. Hoorah/Nay. Met my 'Derby Delight', makes him sound like a 'gee gee' but believe me he is a thoroughbred, 16 months ago on http://plentyoffish.com a free for all (not 'a free for all') site with an altogether better class of date; (check it out all you fab and single flirts).

And now for a true romance which makes me smile and warms my cockles: My great friend, Garland ( what a beautiful name), sisters' husband died after many many happy married years together. At 70 she was resigned to spend her days alone. She regularly walked her fur-faced hound in the local park and gradually became to be on nodding terms with 2 elderly dandy gents. One morning at the end of her stroll she decided to drop into the corner cafe for a cuppa. The 2 gentlemen were already seated sipping their coco. Conversation ensued and 'Eric' invited 'Caroline' for a meal sometime. Thinking that it was a friendly trio Caroline accepted at which point Eric's friend explained that he was not included in the invitation! Wow a hot date... The evening was a success despite Eric being 92 and having to leave early to be sure not to be locked out of his retirement home at 10pm! ( Btw he was paying £32.000 a year for this privelidge). The courtship proceeded with the help of Eric's Friend/accomplice who used to leave his window open so as his friend could burn the midnight oil before clambering in through the window and sneaking back into his own room. Eric and Caroline have now been happily married for 3 years and live together independently in her home...
